  1. I have searched less than diligently on this site and cannot find an answer so I hope you don't mind possibly repeating an old answer. I have 60% SC disability and SSDI. I have had both hips replaced and now one knee has been replaced. My surgeon (who was an army surgeon way back) says the need for the replacements was most definately caused by my wartime injuries. I sent a letter off to VA requesting a reevaluation. A few questions...Does being 100% disable from Soc Sec make it easier to get 100% VA disability? How long does it usually take to hear from VA regarding reevaluation? Is there any chance that I would lose the 60%? Does the VA ever consider the opinions of my own doctor?
