Recurrent Kidney Stones Rating Question
in Entitlement - Veterans Compensation Benefits Claims
Posted
"....stones are repeatedly formed and it requires either drug therapy, diet therapy, or removal surgeries or procedures 3 or more times each year. If this is the case, it is rated 30%. "
So the phrase "repeatedly formed" is rather subjective. What number constitutes "repeatedly"? I've had three occurrences that required ER visits - multiple others that were less severe and were passed without medical attention. I've been prescribed Urocit-K and have a note from a urologist that recommends a special diet for the prevention of future stone formation, yet I've been assigned a 0% rating. What am I missing? I would think that this would meet the stated criteria and warrant 30%. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
