  1. I have a 30% rating (10% right Achilles Tendinitis 10% left Achilles tendinitis and 10% RPPS in knee) in 2007ish.

Since 2017, I have gotten worse.

    1. I want to ask for an increase on both legs since my Achilles tendinitis is relay acting up.

    2. I recently found out that in 2009, after repeated appointments on my Achilles tendon the doc Xrayed and found heel spur. In 2019 I found out that could be a claim, so I want to claim it.

    3. Just recently developed and diagnosed (June 2019) with plantar fasciitis and I believe (no way to prove it is secondary to tendinitis, but have found some VA appeals court claims that connected the two.  so, I want to claim that.

    Here are my questions:

    A. After I gather and organize my medical records and write a clear memo highlighting the facts of all three issues along with what I want.  where do I ship it out?

    B. Do I have to fill out any forms?

    C. Do all three claims go in separately or in one package? (I am asking for three things: increase for Achilles Tendinities, Bone spur, and Plantar fascitities).

     D. I find a lot of great info, but no information on steps to take, what to fill out, where to ship it. Can you tell me or send me a link of where I can find this info?

  2. Hello,

I really appreciate any help I can get. In 2005 I was rated 30% disability (10% Left Foot achilles tendonitis, 10% Right Foot achilles tendonitis, and 10% for my left knee RPPS).

I am going to appeal after 13 years because my legs are now in very bad shape. I can barely walk more than 2 blocks.

I recently spoke with a Vet, where I stated I was told I had bone spurs back in 2009 as I listed off my achilles tendon issues. He told me I should put in a claim.

No documentation about bone spurs while on active duty, but in 2009 a VA doctor sent me in for X-rays because I was still complaining (four years) about my ankles.

On my medical report in 2009 it states:

"Examination of the left foot was done. "A small size bony spur at the posterior aspect of the calcaneus at the attachment of the achilles' tendon There is a small calcified densities seen in the soft tissue at the attachment of the achilles' tendon, findings may represent a calcific tendentious. "

Question 1:  I was honorably discharged in 2005. The bone spurs were not discovered until 2009. Can I still put this in as a secondary claim or an additional claim?  Again, I have a long record of VA doctors and active duty doctors looking at my feet.

Question 2: if I bring this to light. Can this effect my 30% disability rating I literally can not afford to loose this.

Question 3:  In 2019 a specialist agreed about my achilles tendon issue, but stated I now have plantar fasciitis. This is 14 years after my discharge. Is that a claim or is it too far apart?

I loved my time in the Army and wished I could have done the 20. I have to say, my feet got messed up and I am angry because this has limited activities with my kids, like going downtown or to a theme park. So, whatever happens with my feet. I want to be put it in.

Thank you for any help you can give.

  3. Hello,

I really appreciate any help I can get. In 2005 I was rated 30% disability (10% Left Foot achilles tendonitis, 10% Right Foot achilles tendonitis, and 10% for my left knee RPPS).

Question 1: I heard achilles tendonities and claimed that back in 2005. I was given free VA Health Care and my doctor ordered an Xray, he said that I had Heel Spurs (2005 to 2006) and that is pushing on my Achilless causing the pain.   I just recently found out I can get a rating heel spurs, is that too late (12-13 years) to put in a rating for heel spurs that was discovered 2005-2006?

Question 2: Also, I am older now, both legs are just completely messed up. I can not walk normally, I am in constant pain, when I took my family to Disney World, I had to sit down because my feel were just completely swollen, painful tendons, and walking with a severe limp. When I sit down and rest, I stand up and tendons are so tight, I have to stand there for ten minutes and literally try to stretch it out. I literally will not be able to walk.  Is it okay to apply for at least a 10% increase for the achilles tendonities for each foot  or is it too late?

Question 3: Can I file for bone spurs, and achilles tendonities increase all at the same time or do it one by one?

I can thank you in advance for any help you may give.
