Hello World!
I am a 35 year, currently still serving, vet (USMC, Retired AFR and now USAR). I carry a current 30% rating for tinitus, knee surgery and some extra added hardware from airborne ops. I recently returned another deployment and brought back a couple of new SC diagnoses - PTSD and CAD/IHD. I'm on meds and in therapy at the VA for PTSD. While deployed I ended up being diagnozed with IHD/CAD with 80% blockage in the LAD and receiving two stents on New Years eve - in a Kuwaiti hospital. According to the cardiac docs, I'll be on blood thinners for the rest of my life. Yay me.
I'd be interested to get your thoughts on what I might be looking at, rating-wise, when I submit these additional claims to the VA. With the stents, I do feel better but according to my charts I was at 50% EJ prior to the cardiac cath. I'm wondering if having the stents will decrease any potential ratings increase.
Thanks for your thoughts,
Rigger

Active Reserve Component service members can receive VA disability compensation payments. The caveat is you cannot be receive both military pay and disability pay for the same days. For example, if I'm on orders 20 days of any given year, the VA payment will be prorated and the following year's monthly payments will be reduced by that amount.
Thanks for the link.
