I agree with Broken Soldier.  Dont get me wrong.  If you have a disability caused by service, and it causes you problems today, apply for it.

At least some of these are perplexing.  For example, I dont understand how gynecomastia can be caused by the military.  If your doc thinks it was caused by military, apply for it.

I would suggest a review of your records.  Some of these conditions "probably" should be withdrawn.  I would only apply for those to which you have a current diagnosis, an inservice event or aggravation, and, at least a plausable nexus.  Sometimes you can get a nexus later, with an IMO, but I would focus on those where you already have a nexus, or at least an inservice event.

Also, I would withdraw any that do not have symptoms NOW.  A dog bite in service which causes you no problems now would get a maximum of zero percent, if service connected.  However, if this dog left "painful or disfiguring scars" then by all means apply.

BRONCOVET - They listed Gynecomastia for BL chest masses that formed from massive impacts in the chest area while wearing body armor.  The ceramic plates crushed my pectorals causing scarring that turned and felt like hard tissue lumps in the pecs.  The doc listed Gynecomastia but it was actual BL chest masses. Its in the notes.

Everything is service connected and there are specific events tied to each injury.  There was a team that went through my record and decided to submit it this way.  I asked Berta in private for advice and I didn't give her permission to post my private message; but its out there now.

I was asking why after waiting 7 months with a BDD - PH claim - Having only been seen for Hearing/Pysch/Sinus because NYS and COVID policy and QTC not having anyone under contract to preform the rest of my appointments in the 300 mile area if there was anything out there to resource to see how I can expedite my appointments so I can get rated.

In the end we all get what we deserve. The greedy ones will get theirs twice!

Are you seeking treatment for the PTSD?  You're going to need a VA Psyc. Dr. to diagnose it in order to get it.  Or like you said, if they don't have a VA provider then maybe an outside diagnosis (from a PHD Psyc. Dr.) might work.  I'd rather it be a VA diagnosis though.  The C&P exam will probably want to see that there is some treatment and diagnosis notes for them to agree to it.

Thanks for the feedback - I have been receiving treatment and on meds since 2012.  I have been diagnosed by multiple Docs/Phycs while serving on Active Duty and received treatment at NICOE.

My QTC appointment with the Mental Health consult was a one hour video meeting.  That's why I asked what would be the cause to defer that rating since it is done?

    Thanks in Advance!

  3. I retired after 20 honorable years as a SCPO in the USN.

I filed a BDD claim as a Purple Heart recipient back in May with a retirement date of 31 October 2020.  I have about 36 line items I'm claiming for service connection.  Being in the great state of NY I have received 3 exams - PTSD/Hearing/Sinitius/Chronic Rhinitis.  They state there are no providers in my area and had to request SAS appointments.

Today I received an award for 10% for Tinnitus - Nothing for PTSD/or Sinitius as they have all been deferred due to examination which I've had for these two specifically.

I assume this is normal due to COVID - Why didn't they award the other two that had exams already?

    Regards,
