  1. Hello everyone I am in Charlotte NC. Had a recorded back injury since Air Force ( Spondylolisis L5-S1) and its well documented in military records. worsened last eight years and vertabrae slipped. A few months after filing claim Jan 12,2009 it got so bad I had to have fusion surgery. Claim is for 5 items. This Friday I called and the rep told me that an entry was made for an exam. Since surgery to correct right foot and skin along right leg has been numb. Pain in first three toes on right foot. Shooting pains and burning popping up in different places at different times. Scheduled to start physical Therapy on April 6,2009 but didnt until3 weeks ago waiting on VA approval, left hospital with no walker as ordered by my fee basis surgeon. Had to walk after major surgery with no walker or toilet seat, and therapy strated 6 weeks later than prescribed. I'm sure the exam is to see if the condition has been fixed. Anyone understanding fusion with pedicle screws and artificial disc feel free to tell me any pointers. Bob Smith's article was great. My surgeon has said he will not consider work until my next visit in August , (I applied for unemployability). Are there any angles with the Va's delay in therapy or any possibility that going home with no walker are causing some of my extended problems? What do you think they are after with this exam. I requested "expediting as Im about to lose all with no job since 10/2007. Would they have to award claim according to my current situation (doctor says no work waiting on bone fusion to heal)?
