Thoracic Scoliosis..... Do I Have A Chance?

Rate this question

Question

Thanks, my friends, for all your advice.

For several years I have had documented back pain due to MVA in Afghanistan. I finally got a CT scan which revealed scoliosis. This back pain has limited my function and mobility and made me depend on medications in order to manage it.

Do you have ANY advice for me as I prepare to make a claim later this month?

How can I maximize the chance for just compensation?

Thanks

You need a veteran's representative. You can get one at the local county office of veteran's affairs, or you can call the disabled american veterans at the VA regional office in your state. They will help you with the entire process.

Choose your representative wisely. I originally chose the American Legion, which was of no use what so ever. I am now represented by The Millitary Order of the Purple Heart, they are a great organization that knows how to get results from the VA.

I have a claim pending for scoliosis and lower back strain as well, which MOPH helped prepare. Best of luck on your claim.
