anyone get this years clothing allowance yet?

I haven't gotten mine yet but usually you will get it by the first of September. I have direct deposit. I got clothing allowance since 1992 and was denied in 2001 and have not gotten paid for it yet. I got the other years though. I claimed allowance this year for back brace..I was told that it would be easier to get than for a rigid orthotic applicance. I claimed for both this year and am waiting for the first of the month to see if I am going to have trouble getting it this year.

Rickb54,

I normally receive my clothing allowance the last week in August of every year.

Railroader,

Are you saying the VA awarded you clothing allowance back in 1992 as a recurrent payment, meaning you don't need to re-apply, then all of a sudden cut the payments off in 2001? That doesn't sound right. Or, do you mean you applyed and was awarded clothing allowance every year, then in 2001 you were denied? That doesn't sound right either. Normally, I think after three years of receiving the clothing allowance, the VA makes it a recurring award where the veteran doesn't have to keep re-applying every year.
