How Long ?

Hi All ;

My VSO from the American Legion filed my VA Form 0781 as well as my VA VCAA with all pertinent info on JULY 31, 2006 - He nor I have heard anything yet from the RO - Is this 'normal' - or does it take about 6 months or so , as many vets have told me.

from What I have learned, The VCAA election notice is a form that was introduced because of fallout from the VCAA. The form states the VA may make a decision within so many days but dont hold your breath. If you checked the no evidence go ahead box it should not take too much longer.

Send an IRIS inquiry to the RO and ask them for a status of the claim.
