Convalescence Pay For Surgery?

Rate this question

Question

was wondering how this works after surgery? I had shoulder surgery last week and the doctor gave me no work duty for about 3 weeks, then it states that the following 6 weeks is desk only, no lifting, field work, etc. Then after that, it states it will be subject to follow up appointments. I was told by the doctor that full recovery would be about 6 months or so. Just not sure, what part of the limited/no duty/light duty plays into convalescence.

Thanks,
