Hey all, I am a retired US Army vet, did 26 years. So i receive retirement pay and a disablility check from VA (CRDP). I received a intitial 60% upon retirement. I apllied
for a upgrade in all areas of my disablity in June 2014 (effective date). In May 2015 i was raised from 60% to 80%, an additional 500.00 a month started in June 2015.
However, now its Jan 2016 and I have never seen any retroactive pay from June of 14. I have called anyone I could think of on the VA call list My answer at the best is
you are on the list pending, pending, we are currently working on backpay for 2012. The owe me 6,000 plus. I dont know who else to contact. Any suggestions or do I
just have to wait?

Unfortunately, it could be another ~3years depending on how long you hang in there and keep pinging them.  Never fun and quite frustrating, but this is how the VA plays the game, especially when it comes to retro-pay.... 8-(
