Question

Hello,

I recently got my award letter, and after further review my VSO advised me to file an NOD letter to the DRO. Now, do I go into ebenefits and reopen a claim, or is there another link to make this process easier? Thanks in advance.

You must fill out the new mandatory Notice Of Disagreement form and mail it to the intake processing center.

Here is a link to the form: http://www.vba.va.gov/pubs/forms/VBA-21-0958-ARE.pdf

Mail to:

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS
CLAIMS INTAKE CENTER
PO BOX 4444
JANESVILLE, WI 53547-4444

Thanks for the reply.  So it's faster to mail it than to upload on ebenefits? I received the form along with the decision package last week, so it's filled out.

Yes.  The form must be mailed and should not be uploaded through eBenefits. Make sure you use certified mail with a return receipt. Once they receive your NOD it will show up as a pending appeal in your eBenefits account and you will receive a confirmation letter in the mail as well.
