Women Veterans’ stories need to be told, and we should get to know the stories of the women Veterans who work among us, whether it’s at VACO or from the field. In doing so, we not only get to learn more deeply about our colleagues and community inside VA, but it hopefully also encourages other women Veterans to tell their stories and memorialize those stories via Library of Congress: Veterans History Project, Military Women’s Memorial: HERstory, NCA’s VLM. These stories quilt a patchwork of the diverse cultures, values, and beliefs woven through common aspirations, shared history, and sisterhood. They will serve as threads that bind the fabric of women Veterans and their journeys. These stories of resilience, progress, unity, and triumph captures the memories, experiences and emotions that shaped and defined their identities. We hope these stories will be etched in your hearts for decades to come. We look forward to seeing you there!!! Please share with your communities.
