I had my Compensation and Pension exam done at the VA that I currently work at. Is that an ethical concern? Other co-workers have had to go to another VA facility to have their C&P exam, not sure why I wasn't. I notified the VA via the 800 number, they said they've never heard of someone having their C&P exam done at the VA Facility that they are employed at, but I certainly did. Trying to research rules and regs regarding this without much luck...any advice, please?

Priority Groups determime your priority for being seen at the VA and your co-payments. For example, a Priority Group 1 is 50% or more Service Connected. There will be no co-pays for visits or medication. Also, you will be seen before NSC vets. Your priority group is determined by SC disablities, Special Considerations(AO exposure, SHAD, SW Asia) and income.

It's absolutely true..when you enroll at the VA, you are placed in a "priority group"..this is determined by your service andservice connected disabilities, the higher your SC percentage, the higher your PG...

Hello all, I am happy to be on this site. I am a veteran myself, and have a good knowledge of some veterans issues, including priority groups, copays, billing, SC determinations related to SC conditions. I am happy to assist in any manner, please feel free to ask. If I don't know the answer to something, I will certainly research it. My reasons for joining this site are the frustrations that I see veteran's (present company included) deal with daily. It is a pleasure to be among friends.

My C&P exam was a hearing test...showed hearing loss, just not "enough" I guess...about a year ago, I had a hearing test done on my own, which showed a significant hearing loss. Also, my ETS physical showed a hearing loss (it was 18 years ago)...all of a sudden, my hearing has improved? I am so frustrated by all of this. I don't understand how the VA audiologist can have such different results from my ETS exam and my independant hearing test.
