  1. I'll apologise in advance for using this service far to much!

My packet came today! Or someday recently, I havnt checked my mail in a week.

Anyhow, can anyond explain what this means??

Total VA benifiet $601, Amount withheld $601, amount paid $601 effective date April 2009 original award (ive never received anything from them?)

Total VA benufiet $601, amount withheld 0$ amount paid 601 effective srptember 2011 retired pay adjustment

So am I receiving nothing from them??

  2. I know this might not be the place for this question but im unsure of where i'd put it.

I'd like to get into school, im (medically) retired with a 60% disability rating from the Army and suplosidly the descion letter was "cut" today on my VA claim.

I know there are options out there to help me pay for school but I dont even know where to begin to find them

  3. Sorry for all the typo's by the way! I'm on my phone!

Well it was at the Columbia (SC) office and it was in the descion phase there for over 200 days! About two weeks ago during my daily phone call to the 1-800 number I was informed my claim was sent to the Louisville office because their claims turn over faster. My heart dropped thinking I was going to wait another 200 days like before but today as said previously I was told it was finished and had already been checked over! They said.to expect mail soon! So yes, i'm thrilled! (200+ days Columbia, 14 days Louisville!)

About a month ago I was told over the phone that the VA has new "expected wait time" per day per city. I was informed the Columbia office was 96 on average for the descion phase and when it was sent to Louisville was informed their wait was 12

  4. No I was medically retired, I did not receive a medical discharge.

I have no idea if my C & P was favorable? Nor do I know how i'd find out. My last C&P was in Febuary.

They did not request any more information, though when I submitted my claim I handed over stacks of doctors reports and what nots.

And yes when my MEDBRD was finalised I received a total of 70% which I currently collect monthly of course

  5. I was informed a phone call from my friendly VA (ha) that my claim which was located at the Columbia S.C regional office that as of August 5th the regional office of Louisville (sp sorry?) Has received my claim and began processing it. I was then informed that as of August 1st 2011 the average amount of time my local (columbia) VA office was taking in the descion phase was 98 days depending on the type and how complex the claim is. (BTW i'm way over those 98 days!) And that the average amount of days at the Louisville office was only 14 days.

Does this mean good news? Bad news or no news? Has this ever been heard of?

  6. I was (permanitly) medically retired March the 9th of 2009. I applied for my VA benifiets shortly after. I heard nothing for months before being informed my claim was "lost" I re-submitted my claim and eventually got notification of a few doctors visits which I went to of course. Then again nothing nothing nothing. Finally March of 2011 after calling the.1-800- I dont know crap number every day I was informed my claim has been sent for desicion, and laughed when I was told it normally takes 16-24 business days. We are now in August. I've yet to hear anything else again. Everytime I call I still get the in the descion phase crap.

Ive called the only VSO of S.C, and they just brush me off and have not done a thing, wrote my senator and sent back my standard sign here form they sent and have heard nothing. I am lost as to what to do, I in no way can work and need what is rightfully mine. I am at a dead end here.

(please excuse any typo's, i'm on my phone!)
