  1. Goofing off and checked ebennies this past Sundat, Clicked the comp tab to see where my case was(had been in prep for notification phase). No current claims showed they were all in the historical column, my claim closed as of 29 April 2012. Checked my letter generator and multiple letters were there the AB8, AB4,AB7, and AB3(commissary/px states permanent with no re exams). I was rated at 100%. Here is my claim timeline, retired from US Army in 2008 filed claim April 2011, had C+P exams in March 2012 claim closed 29 April 2012. Filed with MO state VSO. Still floored at it all. Truly blessed. Keep up your hopes it does work out. When i get the envelope i will be able to break out the percentages.

Saw my VSO yesterday and he gave me a copy of the VA Decision, under the Decision it states Basic Eligibility to Dependants Educational Assistance is established. Perhaps i am P+T?????

    Anyone else know?

  2. So i finally completed my C+P. I got the notes from my PTSD one. It is rather lengthy, diagnosis 1 PTSD, chronic with depression.AXIS 1, PTSD. Overall PTSD symptom severity was assessed to be severe. Moderately-severe depression. No Axis 2. Axis 3 TMJ, sinusitis, migraines, RLS, tinnitus, gall bladder issues. Axis 4 distress associated with PTSD. Axis 5 Current GAF 0f 45 from history and symptoms this is general level of functioning for a longer period of time. Listed as GAF range of 41-50. Serious social impairment. Meets full criteria for PTSD DX.Medical opinion, the claimed condition was 50% or greater probability caused by in service connection. Thoughts.

  3. Had part of my C+P Exam last Wednesday(already had the dental portion for TMJ two weeks prior). The portion last week also included my exam for PTSD. The provider was very thorough the exam took almost three hours and was detailed. The provider said i had moderately sever PTSD has anyone ever heard of this and what was their outcome if they have been diagnosed with it. Thanks in advance.

  4. Just thought i'd say hello. Was a lurker to the site before joining. Finally digging my way through the VA process after listening to my spouse(wife is a social worker who worked with military and ptsd prior to our marriage) telling me i really need to see help. About me retired from the Army in 2008 started work as a Department of the Army civilian at Bragg in a deployable position. Worked there till Jan 2011 when i transferred to Ft LeonarWood. Finally had time last April(2011) to file my claim finally have a C+P date next month. My military back ground is in Airborne and Special operations assignements(even as a civilian before FLW) as an intelligence analyst. Needless to say have seen and continue to see a lot that affects me personally. While on I have had a broken right ankle during airborne operations, gall bladder removal for a gall stone attack, daily ringing/buzzing in both ears, Sinus issues, a diagnosis of sever restless leg syndrome(used to think it was a BS DX but no longer think that at all), TMJ so loud that people around me hear it when i chew, and mental health issues(PTSD, anger issues, etc) that have caused employment issues(sent home from my last deploymnet at my last job and was basically told to find another position), a divorce, and general apathy issues. It is extremely difficult to ask for help, one because i spent so much time in a culture(22+years) that looked down upon anything related to being seen as sick or ill(the old suck it up and drive on mentality) plus on some things i have been able to self medicate because i am an LPN as well, and two as an intelligence analyst it is strictly taboo to seek any type of counseling or help. Just want to say hello and find out if you all have any pearls of wisdom to give.
