I receive a monthly apportionment for my son, via my Viet Nam vet husband. Normally I get it the day before the first because my mail runs late of an evening. I did not receive it yesterday and my mail carrier said she had several VA customers on her route and they did not get their checks either. I just got back from the mailbox and the mail has already run. No apportionment today either. :( This has me in a bit of a panic because I depend on this to make my rent. If it does not come I will be in a world of hurt. I have not received any kind of letter saying I would not be receiving it so I am assuming it is late or something...but wonder if anyone else's checks either apportionment or otherwise are late? If so, does anyone know why? I don't have a way to call the VA at this point in time to ask them where my check is. (I can't direct deposit due to issues with the bank, and I haven't signed up for that ecard either.) If they came, I'm unsure what happened.
