  1. I am rated 10% for tinnitus. You go to the audioliology department to have it documented. When you have a hearing test, they will either ask you or be sure you tell them. Tinnitus/hearing loss are often present together, tho you can have one without the other.

yes sur I'll make an appointment. When I came, meps said in my left ear I have a below average and it DQ'd me from alot of jobs.

  2. I'm still active duty with a discharge date coming up in the near future. To get my tinnitus documented in my records do I just need to make an appointment with my PCM about it? I plan to file it as a secondary to mental disorder.

I have tinnitus and I also have migraines due to my mental disorder. I'm not sure if I can make tinnitus my secondary if i have migraines as my secondary. can I have 2 secondaries?

I've told mental health about the ringing ears and migraines. How do I make sure this stuff has been documented? Do I need to tell my PCM?

  3. Got my separation date...What all Do I need to do to start my 1st claim? I see I can do this on ebenefits.

Should I get all my medical and mental health files and scan them to the computer and submit online?

Should I get my current military PCM to fill out a dbq?

What all do I need?? Had a briefing about this but they didn't explain anything and I haven't been able to get ahold of a VSO.

  4. Meg always gives Excellent advise and comments here at hadit and I agree with her and wonder too if the Mil was blowing smoke up your rear end....as to the MEB

Of course I hope the ADC knows some reason for the lack of the MEB

Here is the USAF ADC's job description :

We dont think inservice men and women are naïve at all ,it is just that many of us are hardcore VA claimants and advocates and almost everyone here but me has served in the Military, and we don't mince thoughts or words when it comes to VA or even to the Military.

I was concerned about the potential “Honorable” but I am sure the ADC has confirmed that would be the case,if you are discharged.

yeah, The ADC is telling me honorable, I have no bad paper work or anything so it can't be less the "honorable", if i hd paperwork for other stuff it could be "under honorable conditions" . I just realized my shirt signed me up for a VA benefits class...hopefully the person there know his stuff then I'll start the va claim paper work.

  5. I'm not sure why the AF didn't med board you after your suicide attempt.Just because you are a first term Airmen, that has no bearing on a med board. I think someone was blowing smoke up your backside. In some cases with mental health issues the Commander has the authority to discharge you. but you still have the right to seek legal advice concerning your situation.

And, like you have been told by others, you can apply for service-connection disability if your command decides to release you. You also have to be concerned on the type of discharge you receive if they do release you. Some chapters are not eligible for benefits from the VA.

Good luck and I hope that you are receiving the assistance (health wise) that you need.

I was told it's going to be honorable....I'm really tired of fighting. I hope I don't have to fight anymore.

  6. I'm at minot afb, ND.

I'm not families with those terms.

All I know is that I have an assessment to determine if I was physically fit for the test or not exam with my primary care.

I've googled and it says anti depressants can effect heart rate and make you slow! Why the hell haven't I been on a run waiver?? I'm an excellent troop, never been in trouble, no paperwork. Only have a few talking to's off the record.

I don't know what to do and no one is helping me, I love the Air Force.

I'm apparently unfit? I seen all these over weight people who take walk test yet me, I'm getting kicked out..

I talked to ADC they said If my primary care marks down my condition effected my pt test I can't be discharged.....In the even't I do I'm seeking help.

  7. I've been in the air force 3 years. Last year I had a suicide attempt, I stopped hanging out with friends, going off on co workers, yelling at supervisors, work performance horrible, constantly late, staying in my room, hoarding stuff, not doing basic hygiene...etc. Psych said I have bi polar. I never had any of these symptoms before coming in.

sought help in november 2012. Been on anti depressants and benzos, I leveled out.

I'm getting admin discharge: Honorable for 5 pt failures in a row...I'm fit, I'm 6 ft, 165, 26 inch waist. Due to my bipolar and anxiety issues I freak out during the run portion of my test. any non pt test I run a 11:40-12:00 run time.

I have tinntius from the benzos the doctor prescribed me.

    I'm bi polar.

I've been having more down days due to the stress right now. I don't know where I'm going to live. A guy in my squadron was telling me that I should be eligible for disability compensation? how do I do this and is it even worth it? I don't want to waste time for nothing.
