Yeah, thought I would 'animate' the post up a little.. Haha...

Went for an appointment to my local VAMC today for an appointment to see if I was eligible for a motorized scooter. The guy in charge said that "the rules" stated that he could not give out scooters unless there was a loss of one or more limbs or unless I had heart and / or lung issues. I was referred to the rehab dept by my PCP, Psych & local social worker who all said with my pain and mobility issues I should be able to get one. Needless to say, I will have to appeal his initial decision. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could find these "rules" that state this. Everything I've read so far doesn't contain any specific qualifications for receiving a scooter. Am just wondering if he's blowing smoke up my butt. I'd like to get the regs pertaining to this and go over them myself. Thanks..
