My DAV rep is out for the week, but I called the VA and the lady I spoke to said she doesn't see anything past due.
Ebenefits is clearly retarded.

My last claim (migraines) was in prep for notification, then went backwards one step, then forward again at the same time I got a letter from my DAV rep saying my claim was awarded the max rating for migraines -- 50% -- raising my overall to 90%. It's sat in prep for notification ever since. But after the site came back up Sunday, suddenly it shows three pieces of evidence past due, two of which don't even come from me and one that I provided over a month ago.

Ditto on that message for me. And when I was able to get in...it suddenly showed three pieces of evidence past due from me, two if which I don't provide, one of which I have over a month ago.
Needless to say I'll be calling my VSO tomorrow.

It's definitely surprising. I was expecting jack and squat.
In an ironic twist, my DAV rep said they rated me 70% for OCD and 10% for my shoulder. I didn't file for OCD...I filed for disthymic disorder. But I guess losing it in front of the examiner and being physically unable to accept a paper towel to dry my eyes showed him all he needed to see for OCD.

I claimed for 3 things, but only got a C&P for two, presumably because they were both in my medical records while the other was not.
But then I never knew to get seen and diagnosed with the rest until recently, so I guess that's the next step.

Umm. Evidently it jumped even more.
I just tried downloading the letter tonight and it said 70%.
I don't know what to say now.

Stupid question time:
If I click the button to download the VA benefits letter, the letter shows "Service connected disabilities -- No."
Is that because the claim has not yet closed, or because the claim is about to be denied?

After hearing the ebenefits site was back up, I checked it.
Mine has gone from "Preparation for decision," right past "Pending Decision Approval" to "Preparation for notification."
I feel like throwing up.

Well...I'll lurk until about June. After that, I can't make any guarantees....about anything.
-
I doubt I will, but thanks anyway.

I just joined tonight, though honestly I don't think I'll be here long. My name says it all. I've got a sordid tale, as most vets here do. And I'm kinda through with it all.
I filed a claim last June (after becoming aware of the possibility of doing so 10 years after my discharge. I was one of those who people who were discharged under one category, when by all accounts it should have been a medical. I got "honorable conditions," so I didn't get hung out to dry too much. But since no one mentioned the word disability, let alone informed me about filing...I was unaware for 10 years.
By the time I learned I might be eligible (last Spring)...it kinda didn't matter. I filed, sure, but I think that might have caused more trouble than it's worth.
I have an estimated completion date of April 2014 to September of 2014...which is about 3 months after the plan hinted at by my name.
I don't have much else to say at the moment. I'm kinda coming to terms with the realization I had today that apart from "taking a drive"....leaving my apartment causes more problems than I care to deal with.

And after I called today, I checked tonight -- claim complete, 90% combined rating.
