I am curious as I have been out of the military for over 20 years. Within the last week of my service, my First Sergeant said that he had my orders cut for my E-4 rank and would pin it on me IF I were to re-enlist. At that point, I was ready to move on to the civilian world. I was recently told that IF my orders for promotion were cut, it should be a "standing order" and still be legitimate. I have found the military site for ACTIVE soldiers and their ranks, but I have yet to locate one where VETERANS can access(and even amend) their previous records. I will admit that my DD-214 is lacking many of my weapons qualifications(I was a Cavalry Scout), and I believe that the CLERK who signed me out was just wanting to get "one more" person processed as quickly as possible. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for anyone's input!
