  1. The letter is pretty basic only one paragraph. It's on the Dr. letterhead with my personal info at the top. It acknowledges the VA request for my records from the Dr. And outlines the first date of treatment and how many visits that I have had. I have only been seeing him since Jan 2015. I have made other appointments prior to than but could not follow through. After that it states that "His diagnosis is 300.00 Anxiety Disorder NOS with PTSD features (rule out PTSD). Symptoms are: nightmares, anger, chronic unrest, hypervigilance to potential threats, nervousness, depression, sleep disturbance, inability to relax, stress, memory and concentration difficulties, panic feelings, tiredness, and problems with self-control." Than he describes my military service and my stressor. Than he states that he recommends long-term treatment. But basically, does it matter what the private dr. said? It's been 2 years since I have filed my claim and I just got notice of C&P exam. Should I take this letter in to C&P or should I just upload it to ebenefits. The Dr. said he sent it to the VA but I think it was sent snail mail. Any advice is helpful, as I am amped up about the C&P. I don't like talking about this stuff or going to hospitals. Thanks again.
  2. I had a question regarding the letter my private Dr. sent to the VA for support of my claim. I got a copy of the letter that he sent to VA. It took me forever to go see someone. In his letter he wrote that his diagnosis is "300.00 Anxiety Disorder NOS with PTSD features (rule out PTSD). The rest of the letter ties everything in as far as symptoms and military service. The Dr. is a licensed clinical psychologist. What does his diagnosis mean? I don't understand the "rule out PTSD" is that just a general diagnosis and how will his affect my claim? Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.
