Total Knee Replacemnt Scar
in Veterans Compensation & Pension Exams
Posted
Currently I am SC for right knee and lower back.. Rating is currently 40% disabling for lower back, 30% disabling for limited extension, 10 % limited for flexion and right knee scar 20% with a combined rating of 70%. If I have a Total Knee Replacement surgery after 13 months @ 100 % I will then be rated 40% for the back and a minimum of 30% for the TKR. My question is, will I also retain the 20% disability for the remaining 8" scar on the inside of my knee since the TKR scar be totally seperate and will run down the center of my knee cap? Will or could I be rated for the new scar as well? Is only one scar allowed per knee?
