You may want to get an opinion from a chiropractor in writing.
Thanks Mike, That's in my medical record as well, in fact, He was the first one to really dig deep on my condition! I have a spine specialist diagnosis as well. Lol, all bad. I just feel like the examining doc was trying to get more out of me than is reasonable. The whole exam was painful doing things I don't usually do because of the pain and those types of movements usually through my back into an episode. I've had episodes last weeks!

Do you have an established nexus to your service for the back disability?
Yes absolutely, I've been suffering from severe LBP since the mid/late 90's, recently retired from active duty.

Good morning everyone,
I just had my compensation exam yesterday(yes on Easter Sunday) and while it seemed like a fairly thorough exam in some aspects, in other aspects it seemed a little light. I suppose the goal was to fill out the forms vs paint an accurate individual picture of what's going on. While I'm not completely dissatisfied I did feel like when the range of motion portion came around I was pressured to go beyond pain and well out of my comfort zone, is this normal? I suffer from severe lower back pain and when the exam was over I was getting spasms for quite some time. I told the doc and asked for some advil to help me out a little but he was not able to dispense. Thoughts?

The spine specialist/surgeon evaluated me as <10% of normal ROM with pain in writing and I submitted that to the VA along with all my other supporting documents. I do not know what the VA evaluating doctor's ROM numbers were.
