  1. I am new to this all and looking for opinions on what is most likely going to happen for me now. I had two claims at BVA. One for headaches & one for sleep apnea, secondary to MSDs. I was granted service-connected sleep-apnea 6/17/16 & I believe, from the verbiage, it's back dating to August of 2008. BVA did not assign a rating. They also remanded headaches to RO- Huntington, West Virginia. I have a CPAP, prescribed by the VA several years ago after a sleep study in Pittsburgh. I am assuming this means a 50% rating, making me 100%. I know I have to wait on RO to rate it though and that is where my question falls. Will they make me wait on a rating decision until they've finished the remanded claim? I am also waiting on a dependent to be added to my award. I actually think I'd prefer to not know BVA made a decision if it means another year, or more, of waiting and struggling. Ladd in the flooding and a backpay settlement would be a lifesaver right about now.
