On the Veteran's Affairs Health Benefits page, there is a section devoted to cancelling enrollment with the Veteran's Affairs; I may be mistaken or understanding things incorrectly but I assumed that meant there was a way to remove myself from the Veteran's Affairs system alltogether. Another question regarding this subject that I was curious in is that is if I did cancel my enrollment, would they eventually destroy my medical records or will it be sent to the place where they sent the active duty records when I ETS'd?
I am not really seeking to change docs from one location to another to transfer medical records, but thank you for explaining that procedure to me. I am seeking to completely separate myself from the Veteran's Affairs completely, not just change my providers. I am not concerned about access to prescriptions, or veteran's choice programs, but more to know what to plan for if enrollment is cancelled.
