  1. Today in the mail I received a letter from Th VA with a form 21-4140 in it along with a letter explaining that the VA had checked with Social Security and discovered that I had a job and bypassed a poverty threshold. 1. This is the first on of these I received in probably 7+ years (been 100% since 2004) and haven’t filled one out since the last time they sent one. 2. I’ve had a job for several years and been making beyond the poverty threshold for the entire period. 3. I haven’t been hiding anything as I assumed that I didn’t have to file as I thought I was schedular. A couple of years ago the VA even sent a letter to adjust my pay for less dependents after I forgot to tell them I’d gotten divorced. They discovered the omission in my tax filings according to the letter sent at the time. My questions are as follows: 1. Do I need to worry about the entire period I was employed - ie repay what I received for the period? 2. Am I in trouble? I honestly thought I was schedular and was allowed to work 3. Anything else I missed? Thanks in advance.
