jhman,
Welcome to Hadit.
So, are you receiving service connected compensation ?
Yes, 30%. Took Gulf exam years ago. Then A guy at work ask me why my Back was so bad, told him I injured it 3-4 times during airborne ops, has hurt since then. . After 10 yrs I finally told him I would file after he kept telling me to get something for my pain. I did. so thankful now!! Joined the DAV, A rep told me to refile for Persian gulf illness because of many symptoms I now have along with an increase for current conditions. 20% back 10% knee.
When I returned from the Gulf, I had rashes, joint pain and wife had first miscarriage, 2 boys born after had lung issues still problems today. Healthy daughter born before my deployment there. There were just many things that seemed different. Waiting for decision for increase and Gulf claim. The way it takes so long I just pray I hear good news, I am ready to move on instead of this waiting. God Bless
Ooooh! Rah! Airborne!
Welcome to HadIt.
Thanks!!

Hello, Currently sc 30%.for about two years. Called my D.A.V rep. for info on Gulf War syndrom I had claimed years ago but was denied after a gulf war exam. They then advised me to refile on these plus a increase on my current sc conditions which have been worsening. I had recent c and p exams again on these sc conditions. Will they review my last c and p documents along with my original claims? for these. ? Also, can they take away my sc issues after I was awarded them? I am 20 % back l4, l5 injured, degenerative disease during Airborne ops., Also my knee at 10% for injuries during jumps.
Waiting now on decision. Thank you anyone on any input. Airborne all the way!!

Spent years not going for any claim, because of pride then a fellow vet convinced me and now I at least get something for my injuries during my Airborne days.
Thank God For Your Service, All Veterans

I will tell you, now that I am older, the urge is not there anymore to jump anymore. But at that time, the rush jumping into darkness passing the green light, nothing like it. As long as Airforce dont miss the DZ and put you in trees. Have a good one..
