  1. I used the VA web site to ask them what was up with my direct deposit. This is the answer they gave me: -- We do not have your account set up for direct deposit at this time. Please contact us at 1 800-827-1000 to set your payments up for direct deposit. We will need to confirm your financial institutions routing number and your account number. Because of the time frame it takes to process claims we do not automatically use the information provided on your application. Thank you for using the Information Routing Inquiry System (IRIS) -- Stupidly they don't use the info they ask for. Thanks for the replies.
  2. Just wondering what a ballpark figure is for direct deposit to kick in after service connection is granted. It's been about a month since I received the official VA award letter, but I am still receiving paper checks (the initial check and the one earlier this week). I filled in my bank info on the original claim form so theoretically they should have it.
  3. Hello, I am new here. I am currently rated at a combined total of 50%. I received this rating a few weeks ago. I got two form letters from the VA a couple of days ago stating that they had received my application for benefits. I am confused because I have not submitted any applications for benefits since they already approved service connection for everything I already applied for. The only thing I can think of is that I have been diagnosed with a new condition by the VA doctors. Do you think the VA doctors submitted a claim for me without my knowing? Does this happen often?
