seagull here,our ship a manuverable small destroyer got orders to pass trough the straits of iran. to secure safe passage on the straits for oil passage.anyhow that single manuver has allways stayed on my mind to this day it bothers me as when were going threw the straits we could have been attacked would that qualify as a post traumatic event or stressor? just stre- ssing. allso saw dead vietnamese refugees floating out near our ship, and or saving refugees on the south china seas considered stressos. had my life threa- tened on board.received mail from home that relatives drowned.the fact that i almost drowned at a beach in calif. stressors huh? also got expeditionary medal for being on gonzo station for over 3 months ,lived onboard ship for over 4 years that was stressfull. am i going against the wind with all this?

hey,jerrbilly at the moment no have qualms about going to va. and how to pinpoint stressors ,can you have multiple stressors ?

new at this, to initually make a claim for ptsd, you have to have been dianosed with it at present or doe's the va test you for it?
