  1. I'd like to say hello, I'm a veteran of Desert Storm. I was stationed in Germany for most of my active career and then got out after 6 yrs. I dearly miss the service. And I want to say THANK YOU to all who have fallen and those who have also served, that I was able to raise my children in a free country. Now for the question: My wife and I are both retired from the Army, our first son who was 7 yrs old at the time of his death, was killed when we were visiting the inlaws, he was shot in an accidental driveby. I was told that there were benefits avalible to him[ie:] I was told by a veteran counselor that he had the right to a military funeral? Is this true? I was also told that the goverment would help cover some of the costs of the burial, Is this true??? I was told I could find this information in the Military Benefits Book/ sec 3.1600. But I for one havent found anything, could someone help me...............Thanks.....Brent
