SIXTH CERVICALS)

INITIAL EXAM, AMIE WORKSHEET # 1230 </H3>EXAMINATION:

Evaluation of disease of peripheral nerves requires a careful description of the patient's symptoms (e.g., pain, dysesthesia, loss of sensory or motor function, etc.). Any pertinent history of trauma, entrapment, metabolic disorders or toxin exposure should be described. The neurological examination should specify the precise distribution of the involved root, plexus or individual affected nerve. Mononeuropathies or mononeuritis multiplex should be distinguished from polyneuropathies. The natural history and progression of the defect should be indicated. DIAGNOSTIC TEST RESULTS: See above. DIAGNOSIS: The examiner should specify the anatomical and pathophysiological diagnosis.
