Subject: Vietnam resources for VA benefits claims
Tammy:
Here are some of the publications we use around here. The “Where we were” is the most dog eared. Stanton’s Order of Battle has been out of print, but you can find it on Amazon used books by putting up a want ad.
The Fixed wing air losses has solved a few cases.
Vietnam Helicopter Pilots CD is worth 10 times what they sell it for. But don’t tell them.
“The Vietnam Files” is a subscription service which contains every declassified document of the USMC in Vietnam as far as I can tell.
It is available month by month or by the year.
The web site for the Wall is free, and user friendly.
A Dorland’s Medical Dictionary, a Physicians Desk Reference for drugs (for the rep for the headaches of dealing with the VA) and a Merck Manual (also used by the rep for personal issues) are also helpful.
