Back Problems.. Radicolopathy, Also?

Question

I just wanted to confirm (from what I heard hear on the board) that when I make my claim for my back problems (protrusions, sacrilization, narrowings, etc) that I can also make a SEPARATE claim for my Radicolopathy (nerve damage)? I'm just confirming (and getting my "stuff" together) because with other claims, you can only claim one thing per "part".

Hope this answeres your question:

My son received a rating for his back and a separate rating for the nerve damage to his legs.

I would assume you did answer my question. Was the nerve damage in his legs due to the back problems?

Pilgrim:

Back problems are normally rated under the Musculoskeletal System and Radicolopathy is rated under Neurological Conditions and Convulsive Disorders, so yes they should be rated separately and NOT combined. If they try to do that raise the BS flag.

Pilgrim:

Yes the Nerve damage to his legs was caused by the disk at level L5-S1.

He was rated at 40% for the back and 20% for the nerve damage.
