Guest DON20906
A BVA docket number simply means your appeal has been logged in at the Board. Appeals are taken in the order they were recieved by docket number. Last I heard, BVA was deciding appeals that were docketed in April 2005, so I wouldn't expect to hear anything out of them for at least a year. If you have a terminal illness and may not live that long, or if you are about to become homeless, you may request an advance on the docket. To request an advance on the docket, write a letter to the Chairman, Board of Veterans Appeals, 811 Vermont Ave., N.W. Washington, DC 20420 FAX: 202 565-4720. Include a statement from your doctor or evection or foreclosure notice.
