I filed for the BVA hearing, since they lowballed my claim for PTSD I added that to the mix for BVA at the same time, today I get in the mail, a letter saying they are working on my request for an increase in my PTSD rating, I requested a higher rating going back to Dec 2002. Not to be increased now, I contend they low balled me and my condition warranted the 100% from the beginning. Now they can keep this tied up for another 6 months before they send the file to BVA. rofl

my SO made it sound like the hearing would be done on a remote teleconference deal and he said it takes about 6-9 months. Or he asked for a traveling board hearing if it could be held sooner.

Those “we are working on your claim” letters sent after a rating decision and sometimes after a statement of the case have been issued are just computer-generated documents to comply with the VCAA directing you to give VA anything else pertaining to your claim.
