Question

Hi everyone, haven't posted here much but I do a lot of reading here. A lot of good info here. I have an open claim for multiple items. It was started in Sept 2010. It has been at Prep for Decision since Oct 2011. Every time that I use the 800 # for a status, I'm told it's just backlog. Today I see a difference in Ebenefits. Under requested items from 3rd parties, it indicates requested item "544" with date requested "todays date" and due date "12/21/2012" Anyone know what 544 is?

From my experience this is what it means. The number i.e. 544 means it's the VA Medical Center they are sending your C File over to for a C&P exam or a medical addendum review etc. The date they send it i.e. todays date and the future date you see is the due/suspense date the VAMC has to get your file back to the VARO.

Currently I have 644 (Phoenix VAMC) with a requested date of 09/13/2012 and due date of 11/12/2012. I have a C&P scheduled for Oct 24th so they have till then to meet that suspense date of 11/12/2012 to get it back to the VARO.
