Hi Ya'll,

My husband and I were going through some very old paperwork his mother had in a storage. We found the original "parchment" certificate of commision for his father by the Royal Canadian Airforce". I understand he volunteered for service to fight prior to the USA getting involved in WW11. When the US got involved he was discharged and commisioned in the Army Air Corps or the AIr Force, were not sure which. We believe my husbands mother was drawing DIC because his fathers death was SCed.

Does anyone know if we can request service records from CANADA?

Also if we are not sure of which branch of service, can someone advise us what we need to do to get his fathers service records. We would like to see what his medical condition was that was service connected.

We understand that he may have been involved with some of the bomb testing, has the government released list of names or assignment locatoins of veterans that may have been exposed to radiation?

Thank you for any imput or ideas on this.

Jangrin and Chuckles B)
