Ptsd then and now

Question

Okay, I've got a PTSD diagnosis and receiving treatment (meds and therapy) for about six months, filed the claim with the stressor  statment.

the VA recently called and indicated that they were in the process or about to schedule a C&P. They meds and therapy are helping slightly (Fewer nightmares and better sleep) maybe a little less anxiety and depression. So my question is how will the C&P examiner approach this. If I have ptsd and its somewhat under control is it still compensatable?

Yes, it should be compensated still. Meds do not make PTSD go away, it just numbs it.

The VA has a list of what your symptoms should be for the required rating.
