Here's my nexus letter for Menieres disease.

Question

Attached is an IMO that received back in August. Overlook the info about other injuries, my focus is more on the nexus establishing menieres disease.  My military medical records don't say anything about vertigo or dizziness but I was diagnosed by a civil doctor before I retired.

This letter combined with my military med records, civilian doctor evidence, 21-526 EZ, a notarized buddy letter along with his DD214 and some orders of us together on a mission in kuwait are all I was going to submit for a Fully Developed Claim. If I forgot something please tell me.

I am also thinking about sending this news article titled, "C130 Mystery Illness Solved," that talks specifically about C130 crews having severe ear problems and how it was linked to a faulty pressurization problem. I was a flying crew chief and flew many hours.

Yes, it sounds like the nexus is covered!

The buddy letter was a good idea! And the IMO covered all bases.

The article you mentioned as well due to the C 130s might help too.

In your opinion do you think my IME is strong enough to overcome the fact my MSR's have no record of a problem?

I believe the Doctor gave an excellent medical rationale for the inservice nexus.

I hope others opine here as well ...

I can't imagine what other cause or reason VA could come up with for the Menieres.

Have you googled for any abstracts or medical articles that specifically involve Menieres caused by multiple exposures to cabin air pressure?

The closest thing i've found is medical treatment that uses ultrasonic waves that create pressure on the inner ear to alleviate symptoms.  Not sure if that really means anything.
