secondary nafld (non alcoholic fatty liver disease) to hypothyroidism

Question

Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday to those who celebrate.

I'm 60% sc for hypothyroidism.  I've had hypothyroidism for 26 years.  Anything I've tried to tie secondary they lump into my current rating; however, I've recently had a liver ultrasound because of pain and the finding is non alcoholic fatty liver disease.  In 2010 I was diagnosed with nafld by civilian gastroenterologist.  Would those records along with the current ultrasound performed at va hospital be enough evidence or do I need a doc to say "more likely than not"?

I couldn't find nafld in all of its forms on the drop down menu in ebenefits so I lumped it under liver condition...would this work or do I need to fix that?

Thank you for your insight.

Lilbit,

I think you will probably need a nexus letter from your gastro stating "at least as likely", unless he feels it's more certain than that, then your gastro should write "more likely as not caused by your hypothyroidism.
