I am a length of service retiree with a current VA rating of 40%. DFAS currently reduces $634 a month from my retired pay as the VA offset. If my new claim brings my rating up to 50% I know CRDP will kick in and no more offset, but will DFAS owe me backpay of the 634 x however many months from effective date of claim? I know the VA will owe me the diff between 40 and 50%. back pay.
