CUE granted, what now?

Question

Good Morning all. A miracle happened and my husband's CUE was granted. We received the envelope with the decision back in August. And then, nothing.  How long does it take to actually get the money ?  I have heard everything from 2 months to ?. His attorney says be patient.  Is there no one to call or anyway to check to see what is actually happening? Thanks!

WOW- Good for you and your husband. I looked at your profile to see if the CUE was there but I couldn't find it in the past posts-

I assume this was a BVA award, and it has to be implemeted by the VARO.

You could register at ebenefits here:

https://www.ebenefits.va.gov/ebenefits/homepage

But Maybe IRIS is the faster way to get a status-

https://iris.custhelp.va.gov/

Click on Ask a Question and then fill out the info stuff they need, state your question as to the status and then ask them for an email reply.

However- Marina, nothing is fast at the VA these days- the BVA is working faster than the ROs and MANY here are waiting for retro due to a BVA award or partial grant. And they will  need to determine the Attorney fees as well.

Maybe- if they all started calling the WH Hot Line, the ROs would get these retro checks out faster-

White House Hot Line 1-855-948-2311

But Congrats to you both!!!

The worse CUE claim of all is the one that is never filed and could have been a beauty, if it complied with all of the CUE criteria.
