Question

Is it commond for a RO to transfer files to Other RO's for rating and final decision. I called Pittsburgh today for status. I was told mine and a bunch of others was transfered to other RO's because of backlog. Is this a good thing or not? It just might be.

Any info will be great.

Yes it is common. It would be a good thing if the VARO put some thought into the process. However, most of the time they simply reroute claims without any thought which could cause your claim to end up at a VARO that is worse off than yours.

As Ricky said this actually quite common. Regional Offices will at times "broker" or send claims to other offices that have less of a pending workload than their own. Believe it or not, this actually speeds up claims in most situations.
