  1. Well, I dont know how many have been looking at my posts. But, to those of you that have given me input and support I thank you... claim has been in for over a year now... should have been put in when I got out int 2004 but its hard to bust the "JarHead" out of a Jarhead. So I wasn't willing to see that I had issues till my wonderful fiance and one of my best friends started pushing me to get some help. I've been sober for over 3 years now because of them and as of a month ago I should be done with the C&P Exams for the first part of my claim... though I am pretty sure they aren't going to give me the percentage I want right out the gait. Anyway thank you again all... I will be on here more frequently now that my case is getting closer. And I am more than willing to help anyone that I can from the learning I've gained through my own series of processes. Cpl. B
  2. Yep, it did. And thank you for your input. I just get stressed/anxious about these things. First time dealing with the VA hardcore so. Again thank you. Cpl. B.
  3. Hello again, I have a claim in for multiple joint issues, PTSD, and my back. I have received C&P exams for the PTSD, and my joints along with several x-rays and an MRI of my right shoulder. My question is, is it normal for them to do all this in a matter of a month and then wait over a month for the C&P for my back? Or is there a chance that they wont do one for my back? Thanks for any input. Cpl. B.
  4. Brief update on my end. I have had my appointments for my ankles, knees, hips, shoulder and neck... also my psych issues... Just waiting on my exams for my back... Anybody know any way to check as to why they haven't scheduled that appointment? Anyway, all is going "Ok" here... Hope everyone is doing well.. Cpl. B
  5. Well, already have my appointments scheduled. All this month. So now just gotta go to them and start the next process in the "Hurry Up and Wait" system. Thanks again for the advice and support. Cpl. B
  6. Hello again all. Was just wondering if there was a time that I should allow before requesting to view and get a copy of my C File? Thanks for any input. Cpl. B
  7. One other thing that I'm kind of concerned with... My VA therapist told me that she thought that my going to school was a bad idea both for my mental status and in that it is proving to the VA that I am functional and could hurt my claim. My major problem is that is currently my only source of income. Yes, it is putting me further and further in debt but it is keeping me going. The other problem is that I am doing horrible at school, as I don't do well around people (think my girlfriend called it agorophobia or something). So, long and short of it, is going to and failing at school going to affect my claims process in any way, for either my VA claim or my SSDI claim? Thank you for any input. Cpl. B
  8. I recently was asked by another vet friend from my old highschool what kinds of things would be enough to qualify for PTSD. I thought I would ask for input here before I sent him a reply. He described several of the symptoms of PTSD to me and I have talked to him several times since I started my learning process in PTSD and he seems to fit the bill (I am no psych doctor, mind you). He asked if the stress of bootcamp, or your first deployment, or minor things like that would just get you laughed out of the claims process. I am pretty sure it would but wanted more input before I let him down too much, just in case I am wrong. I am referring him to this site for more research and I sent him the link to some PTSD research stuff I have. Any input would help. Cpl. B
  9. So is there a (or several) VARO for each state or region? Cpl. B
  10. Well, I started the filing process today for SSDI. Will post updates as they come. Should I keep posting to this thread or start a new one? Cpl. B
  11. Don't know if I should keep posting in this thread or not but here goes. I am currently unemployed and have been for nearly a year. I have been going to school but my symptoms have me missing at least half of my classes and doing horibly on grades. Will the fact that I am attending school keep me from getting SSDI? Cpl. B
  12. So with that being said, should one wait on a VA decision on their claims before applying for SSDI? Or should you start the SSDI application process at the same time? Cpl. B
  13. Awesome information, and a great way to put it. Thank you. Cpl. B
  14. I really wish that I had done that and I really wish I had taken the time to go to medical more for the stuff that is now serious problems. It aughta be fun connecting some of these joint issues with service. Cpl. B
