Berta Posted October 3, 2010 Share Posted October 3, 2010 That is in regard to DEA (Chapter 35) educational benefits only. Regarding eligible adult children and the time frame for DEA - if they have Military service, the DEA benefit for them is extended by the amount of military service they had. hi all;
i have a question, i read the following on page 143:
webpage:
http://books.google.com/books?id=TpJNJK4PnRYC&pg=PA137&lpg=PA137&dq=can+deceased+veteran+dic+be+cancelled&source=bl&ots=-MPFuwvMFd&sig=_B34NjR9stldPSsRmv4ufhjDegA&hl=en&ei=YxyoTIXRE4T6lwfzsqjnDA&sa=X&oi=book_result&ct=result&resnum=7&sqi=2&ved=0CCYQ6AEwBg#v=onepage&q&f=false
the paragraph is titled: expiration of benefits
"spouses and surviving spouses have ten years from the date va establishes eligibility to use the benefit."
does this mean that dic monthly payments only last for 10 years and then it is gone?
