Rate this question

RODboricua

Question

I still active in the ARMY. Im been using my CPAP machine for more than a year. I got the machine because the ARMY send me to the hospital because I cant sleep. The hospital exam show that I have a moderate condition. The question is, Can I request another sleep study exam? If so, How long I have to wait? Maybe if my condition is worse I can get a 100% when I get retired.

Sure, you can "request" another exam, but there is no guarantee either the military or the VA will get it for you.   I can not guess what the decision makers will do about that either.

As far as benefits goes, however, if you use a CPAP with a service connected sleep apnea, your rating will be 50 percent, not 100 percent.

You "should" get service connected for sleep apnea when you were prescribed a cpap in service UNLESS your entrance physical shows this pre existed prior to service, and I do not know whether that is the case or not.  You would need to get your pre entrance physical and see what it says.
