Berta I usually have to laugh at these "lists" I was assigned to Camp Liberty Bell which is about 400 feet across the road from JSA or as it is now known Camp Bonifas all of the mess halls used vegetables grown in Freedom village that is in the DMZ the 1/31st spent years at Camps Liberty Bell and Camp Greaves but I think they moved in a month or 2 after the spraying officially ended but we all know how long the dixoin in AO stays toxic so all the veterans exposed after the dates it was sprayed are just SOL but civilian state department employees are able to file claims for a few a few years after the dates the spraying stopped go figure we need better lawyers lol

100% SC P&T PTSD 100% CAD 10% Hypertension and A&A = SMC L, SSD

I agree but the Korea AO vets did not unite in some way to protest these regs when they were developed.

The AO was not technically on the DMZ- the NVLSP link should explain better where they said it was used.

I can see them denying a vet who served in the 151 mile swath they said had to AO if they served before it was sprayed- but why a time limit to after it was used?

The Hatfield report on AO in Danang that I posted link to here about 1-2 years ago reveals Danang Vietnam has now 400 TIMES the AO in it's soil then it did during the war.As a persistent organic pollutant dioxin doesnt go away but increases its affects.

From the soil, then into tributaries and rivers and then into the Pacific and part of the formation of rain over the Pacific and its islands (and ships in the 7th Fleet)

That is why ALL AO legislation and HR 2254 needs input from veterans and their widows.

I gripe about AO every chance I get.But have watched the AO list of presumptives grow from 2 conditions originally (which hardly any vet ever got SC for to what we have now- a long list that inludes about 34 forms of soft tissue cancers.

But As Jim Cripps proved (1st AO in CONUS award a few months ago ) with the evidence of AO exposure anywhere and a presumptive condition the VA folds and does the right thing.

Same as with Kurt Priessman-1st AO Thailand award.
