  1. Just seen this on my e-benefits page under the evidence. I hope that this is because I sent my recent doctors papers and also the IHD form that he filled out for me. The NVLSP also has a copy of this. Does any one know what this means. Coachchas VAF 21-0820 - vet request heVAF 21-0820 - vet request heart condition under the new agent orange guidelines. VAF 21-4138 - vet like the status of his claim. - VAF 21-674c -
  2. Well hopefully things are going in the right direction. I got a phone call today from the person at the NVLSP whom I had been in contact with since my decision and he sent me via e-mail the Privacy Act form to fill out so they can request my records from the VA. The e-mail stated that the VA did not make the correct on my claim and they would look into it further. I will let everyone know what happens next, Coachchas
  3. Hi everyone, it has been one week since I have received my decision of 0%, for agent orange. . I just wanted to check in to let everyone know that the doctors papers have been filled out and these are the persons that I faxed them to. The AMC person that I spoke to , my DAV here in Philly, and also Dean from the NVLSP. On Friday night about 6:20, my cell phone rang but I did not get it in time, and they did not leave a message. I call the number right back and it was the VA regional office here in Philly. No one answered so that has me guessing. I found it strange that I would get a call at 6 20 on a Friday night. Well no phone calls today.... so we shall see. I will keep everyone posted. Coachchas
  4. Thanks Bertha, I really do appreciat all that everyone has told me. It also concerns me that I di not receive that form too. Maybe because my appeal went from the BVA to the AMC, who knows...I did get in touch with Bruce from the AMC, he is the person that called me on Monday requesting more doctors info...I asked him if he received my faxed papers from my doctors and he told me he did. I know that it still may take another years of so but I have been waiting a long time, what is anoth year....haha Coachchas [quote name='Berta' timestamp='1311854848' post='252193' It concerns me that VA didn't send you this form. Myself or someone here posted the link to this in our AO forum as well as the Parkinson's and Hairy Cell B form as soon as the VA published them. Yes I think they sure dropped the ball but you picked it up and I think this claim will definitely go OK now for you. As our Webmaster Tbird says-the VA claims process is a paper battlefield. I call it a War of the Words. And as her Hadit Motto says- Knowledge is Power and one thing all VA claimants need is the knowledge that is found here. Your DAV rep sounds very supportive. That is good to know. Your Ejection fraction might warrant a 60 % rating but then again- that is hard to determine and NVLSP will make sure the rating is correct.
  5. Well at least know I know what my METS are and my LVEF METS - 5-7 LVEF 35-40% Not real sure what those percentages are, but at least the right people have them know coachchas
  6. Thand goodness you sent me the link for this form. I have never seen this form before.. I really think that someone dropped the ball on my claim. Why it was sent to the AMC and not to a Nehmer processing center really stumps me.
  7. [Just wanted to let everyone know that my doctor fill out the agent orange/IHD questionnaire today. I already faxed it back to the person at the AMC who called me on Monday and also to Dean at the NVLSP. At about 4:45 tonight someone from the DAV office here in Philly called me, (because I had called him on Monday morning when I got the decision), He told me he was looking at my decision from the AMC and he informed me to download the Agent orange/IHD form. I told him it was filled out and already faxed to the AMC, he seemed surprised. He did say that I should have faxed it to him, I would have if I had known he was going to call me. I had called him 3 times. I did fax him the completed form so he could look at it and I only hope know that the ball gets rolling again. I cannot thank everyone here on this forum. Because of all of you things get done properly. I will let all of you know what happens next. Coachchas quote name='carlie' timestamp='1311776648' post='252089'] SC = Service Connected. Be sure to submit the medical evidence that jbasser posted. The evaluation criteria is in the measurements. JMHO
  8. Just dropped off form for the doctor. I told the head nurse that I would pick up all material once completed and send them to the person at the AMC who called me the other day. I will send them certified mail.
  9. I hope so. Maybe that is why someone from the AMC called me yesterday to ask for my most recent doctors report. I see a heart doctor twice a year. What is SC . Why do you think that? There decision really confused me coachchas
  10. Well here goes I did scann and I am sending decision as an attachment... coachchas
  11. I did talk to Dean and I had to fax him the decision from the AMC. I also faxed him parts of the BVA decision, from April 2010, where my claim was remanded to the AMC, due to new evidence on my CAD. I think that he was a little confused, he thought that my case was a Nehmer. I explained to him that it should be a Nehmer and I could not understand why my claim was sent to the AMC and not to a Nehmer processing center. What I really do not understand now is why after the AMC decision, I received a call from someone at the AMC named Bruce who ask me to send more evidence from my current doctor. They the VA is so messed up it is not funny. I am going to rescan the decision and try to post as an attachment. Coachchas
  12. Still trying to scan the decision. I did call back the person from the NVLSP, his name was Dean but he was out of the office. Still awaiting his phone call back. In the decision letter it states that service connection for CAD, status post myocardial infarction has been established as directly to military service. If you want Berta, I can email you my scaned decision, because I am unable to delete person information. Charles Kelly
  13. I did scan the letter and can send it as an attachment, but I am having trouble deleting personal info I might have to rescan it covering up the info. I will also look up the docket number . Will get back to you early afternoon. Thanks you coachchas
  14. I will try to do that. Don't know if I can, but I will try. Which letter the one from the AMC?
  15. AND I DO INTEND TO CONTACT THE DAV AND ALSO THE NVLSP. MY CLAIM WAS SENT TO THE AMC BECASUE OF REMANDS THAT HAD TO BE DEVELOPED. THESE REMANDS WERE FOR CAD DUE TO AGENT ORANGE. I AM REALLY CONFUSED AS TO WHY MY CLAIM NEVER WAS PROCESSED AS A NEHMER. IT SHOULD BE BECAUSE OF EARLIER FILING DATE ADN DENIAL OF 1994
  16. Well someone from the AMC just call me at 10 this morning and told me that they need more info from my current heart doctor. So I assume the letter from the DAV this weekend was not a final decision from the AMC, which I am happy about. I explained to the person that called me that my original claim is from 1994 and 1995. What I do not understand is why my claim was never sent to a Nehmer processing center. I never even received a letter stating that my case was a Nehmer, it was just stated in my original letter from the AMC, that my claim for CAD may be reopened due to knew evidence. This is why it went there for the remands. I know that this sounds confusing but I have every letter that they have sent me from 1994. IRIS and Peggy also gave me different answers when I called. So I just call my doctor and ask him to send all of my records to this person Bruce, even though they have most of them, maybe they want the most recent.. I ask the AMC official what timeline we are now looking at and he told me that once he gets the records he will try to much it through, maybe another year. We will see. Thanks for listening everyone, I am so glad when I get input from everyone. Coachchas
  17. I agree John this is awful I have been waiting so long and this is what they decided. Yes I still have symptoms and I still see a heart doctor every six months. They have all of my records and my doctors records
  18. Really bummed out.. Just came home from vacation only to find a letter from the DAV office in Washington, stating that the Appeals Management center has made a decision on my husbands claim. This is the non-official notice... THE AMC HAD MADE A DECISION CONCERNING YOUR BENEFITS; A COMBINED EVALUATION OF 70% HAS BEEN ASSIGNED AS A RESULT OF THE FOLLOWING ACTIONS..SERVICE CONNECTION FOR cad IS GRANTED AT 0% EFFECTIVE February 16, 2007. I have been receiving 70% IU since 2008. I filed my original claim for CAD due to Agent Orange when I had my heart attack back in 1994 and 1995, both times denied. The letter from the DAV also states that I will receive a letter from the AMC with 2-4 months. What should my next steps be? Please advise us ...
  19. My husband call a new number today 1-866-341-0743, he found it on another web site. I think that it is Veterans Affairs Client service center. He spoke to someone by the name of Jeff. He was told that a decision was made on his claim as of yesterday 6-28. He is a Nehmer claim which was remanded by the BVA, over 18 months ago to the Appeals Management center. Last we check with IRIS we were told as of June 22, all remands have be made and it went to a rating specialist. Hopefully the person today was right and they did decide on his case. My question is how much longer to hear any news and will this appear on e-benefit?. We have never seen it on e-benefits. Pkelly
  20. Does anyone know how long it takes to get a pin number from the RO. My husband went about two weeks ago to register for the level 2 status and still has not received his pin. Thanks for any help This is a great site!!! Pam Kelly
