  1. I wonder if I called the 800 number and ask to add it if it would slow down my claim? I added something a long time ago after submitting my claim but that was before my C&P.
  2. Yea I might have to file a second claim but I will wait until my first one comes back...Coming up on a year so I pray it should be soon. I also request my C&P results back in October of 2010 and still waiting for them...lol...It's been one hell of a ride.
  3. BTW on my form I put Sleeping problems/ Insomnia
  4. When you did the form did you put sleep apnea or insomnia? Or did they just rate you for sleep apnea? thanks.
  5. Well I hope this falls under sleep apnea, I still can't sleep after being home for 2 years. This was what the doc wrote when I was in Iraq.
  6. I just looked at the medical records form when I was deployed and it did say post traumatic so maybe they will just tie that into my PTSD claim. I wish they would send me C&P to me, I've been waiting forever just to get the report and much more time getting my rating.
  7. Hey guys, I just wanted to know more details about sleep insomnia. In my claim I listed sleep insomnia for one of my disabilities but I just thought about it and didn't have any sort of C&P for sleep insomnia. While deployed I was doing guntruck missions when an IED hit our truck and ever since then I wasn't able to sleep right,(not to mention the firefights and other IEDs that hit us) When I got back from the mission my CO made me go get it checked out and I did. It was all documented and the VA has all my medical records. So I guess my question is will they rate me for it or just deny me, the only thing the VA has done about my sleeping is give me "Quetiapine Fumarate" . Thanks guys.
  8. Thanks for the info, yea I am not going to waste my time going up there...I guess I will have to suck it up and call that 800 number.
  9. Can anyone confrim that you can do it over the phone, would really help out allot...I live a good hour away from both RO and VAMC.unless I can get it done at an outpatient clinic
  10. I signed up for Ebenefits like 3 months ago and was waiting to look at my stuff rather than calling that useless zombie infested 800 number and noticed today that there wasn't anything, looking deeper into it I realized it said I need premium access. So do I really have to go to the regional office with everything and get access or is there something I can do here, ether or how long will it take to get the access and is it even wroth it to get it? Thanks.
  11. Yea I called 3 different times ( 2 times in one day) just to see if someone was mistaken. They all said the same thing, I requested for someone to give me an answer to why this was done and each person I called was like "hmmm I never heard of this happening could you please hold for a few" The last person seen that I had called multiple times and was very rude. I really hope it was just closed instead of canceled. I don't know what the system is, my TBI case manger will be back in the office tomorrow and I am sure she will be on the phone with some people on the inside so that's all I can hope for and like I said I have been told from many different vets and doctors that I have a very favorable claim given all my medical records and different test done from the VA so that isn't it. It's just really hard trying to keep having hope for this when things like this happens.
  12. This is what they sent me. I guess they are going to send it, but still I think they canceled the wrong thing.
  13. Well I think I might have an answer to why my claim was canceled...yesterday I got a letter in the mail from the VA stating they are unable to send my C&P letter in the mail because of some kind of law and that it would be closed unless I want to appeal it, When I called the VA and found that my claim had been closed the person told me that the only thing open on my record was to obtain a copy of my C&P copy...So some dumb POS closed my claim instead of closing my C&P request...this is a huge set back...When they do fix my claim I pray they don't make it starting date to that day because I have been waiting for so long to get my rating...If it's to that day I am SOL...Thanks for all the help to.
  14. I do not have a VSO, I am not sure how to get one...I have done this whole thing pretty much by myself.
  15. Should I go to the regional office? It is about an hour drive but if that speeds up the process I would go. I need this claim, its all I have right now. I have been waiting since October to get my rating and its been a weight on my shoulders.
  16. Not sure what I requested but I did request why it was canceled, so hopefully that is it...I do not have a VSO, My TBI Case manger really helps me out on everything.
  17. Ok, so right now I am pretty upset, I called the 800 number to ask about the status of my claim. So after I gave all my info the guys says "Ok well your claim was closed yesterday" so I am thinking finally! Nope, he then tells me it was canceled... I asked why? He said well it doesn't say...It's doesn't say anything besides canceled. Ok, I know what everyone might be thinking, I didn't have supporting information...This is completely wrong...I had all my files from when I was deployed and with the army...Everything matched with what I was claiming...I have been told by a number of people that my claim is solid and should expect at least 70% SC at the least. So what is going on? Also I called my TBI case manger and she said she never has heard someone with the amount of evidence I have being canceled, and on top of that having no reason for it. Can someone please tell me this might just be a mistake or maybe they rated it and put canceled mistakenly? Thanks everyone.
  18. I had my C&P done at the Bay Pines Hospital on October 8th, 2010... The regional office is right next door, I was told by a VFW rep that all OIF and OEF vets where pushed to the top and it would be any-day now...The only reason I requested a copy was to kind of see when I can pay off all my debts, The worst feeling of all this is I put this delay on myself...I just wished when I called they would have told me I would be put in the back of the line...If I am in the back of the line...I just dont know what to do...It's very stressful right now and this has been the only thing keeping me going.
  19. Awhile ago I requested my C&P report and so today I called and asked what is the status of my claim and he told me that since I requested my C&P report I will be put in the back of the line. Please for the love of god tell me this isn't ture....If it is I will be completely you know what.
  20. My claim has been at the "rating" stage since October 8th, 2010. All my documentation from when I was in the military matches everything I put in for...It seems like it will take for ever...
  21. I have been reading these forums and noticed allot of people that file a claim for PTSD are getting a C&P exam. I took my PTSD C&P in early Feb, so its it an automatic piece of mail you get or do you have to request it?
  22. I called the VA hotline today to ask the status of my claim and they told me it was accepted by the rating team on march 2nd, after that it will go to a something or another team to verify your claim...Anyone have any idea this part takes, I started my claim October 28th, 2010.
  23. Yes the VA has all my Military records and the TBI case manger had them hand carried to the place it needed to go. Thanks for the reply.
  24. Hello, I just had a few more questions. I did my C&P awhile ago and I addressed a number of things. I filled out the forms by myself and really had no guide to go off of, I put things like "right knee injury" and "memory loss"...I also put PTSD but my question is for the memory loss. I have seen a number of doctors and each have said I have TBI, however I didn't put TBI on the form so am I going to have to restart this whole process or are they going to award my just for me PTSD without TBI, is PTSD fit in the TBI? Also I have supporting documentation of what I went through while being deployed, all from doctors. Thanks for everyone's service.
  25. Thanks for the quick reply. Yea after reading all these things I knew it would take along time, I already have been waiting since September but that is nothing compared to some of these vets. The C&P doc told me they are trying something new with sending everything electronically so it should take as long but she is just probably saying that?
